2 Chainz Set To Begin The Second Leg Of His Sold Out “Based On A T.R.U Story” National Solo Tour

New York, NY - There is no denying that 2 Chainz is the hottest rapper in Hip Hop music, today. After a meteoric rise rarely seen in music, he has safely secured his spot on the top. His style and impact is quickly changing the landscape of music and you can’t help but hear a rendition of his infectious “2 Chaaainz”, or “ Tru” when ever his name is mentioned. What makes it all the more impressive is that it isn’t just hype. “Based On A T.R.U Story”, his first solo project with his now label Def Jam, landed on the Billboard charts at Number 1 it’s first week and has sold close to 500,00 copies. 2 Chainz most recently performed at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards along side long time friend and collaborator, Lil’ Wayne, and stole the show. In addition to his performance at the VMAs, he also took the stage at the BET Hip Hop Awards while taking home 4 trophies.

As he gears up to embark upon the second leg of the tour, which begins in Jacksonville, FL on November 23st, 2 Chainz had this to say about the experience “I never get tired of seeing, vibing, and sharing experiences with my fans. It's just me and them in an intimate setting, in a different city all over the country. We turn up and basically have a party in every city on stage. When the first half of the tour started the album had just dropped so I didn't know what to expect. Now that the album has been number 1 in the country, and every city has been sold out, I feel like the people enjoy what I bring to the table.”

2 Chainz will perform at The RITZ Ybor in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, November 24, 2012.  Tickets are available online CLICK HERE.

2012 Guavaween Music Festival Announced!

Guavaween "Music Festival" Acts and Venues Announced

(Tampa, Florida) The Ybor City Chamber of Chamber announced today the bands and music venues for Guavaween 2012. This year's event, to be held on Saturday, October 27th from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM will feature both the annual Costume Contest and a new indoor Music Festival. The theme for the 27th edition of Tampa's nationally-known Halloween celebration is "The Many Shades of Ybor."

"The music festival will have something for everyone's taste" announced Tom Keating, President & CEO of the Ybor City Chamber. "We will have seven "live music" venues including Centro Ybor and over 20 bands representing national, regional and local talent." The Annual Costume Contest will be held at 9:00 PM at the Centro Ybor Stage.

Participation in the Music Festival requires a universal armband, available in advance for only $20; day of $30. There will be no wet-zoning of Ybor City and hence no fence. Guests are encouraged to visit the Historic District in costume and enjoy Ybor City's wide array of cafes, restaurants, cigar bars and pubs.

"We hope that everyone will come down to the Historic District in costume for Guavaween 2012," said Guavaween Chair, Marc Hamburg. "Our costume contest draws competitors from all over the country with a $1,000 prize for first place, $500 for second and $250 for third."

The eclectic music festival is being produced for the Chamber by Brokenmold Entertainment, LLC. The headliner is The Hold Steady and the line-up includes: Adrian Younge, Rubblebucket, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Tortured Soul, Nervous Turkey, Sound Duo and many more quality acts. Live music venues include: The Ritz Ybor, Orpheum, Czar, Crowbar, Market on 7th, New World Brewery and Centro Ybor (see below for additional information on entertainment).

To purchase advance discount tickets for only $20 go to www.ybor.org and click-on Guavaween.

Featured Bands include:
The Hold Steady delivers gritty bravado that recalls Bruce Sprinsteen or vintage Thin Lizzy. This bold approach has made the group critical darlings and popular enough to sell out clubs nationwide. www.theholdsteady.net

Multi-instumentalist, singer and songwriter Adrian Younge, skillfully composed all the music for the 2009 blaxploitation action spoof, Black Dynamite, played all the instruments, wrote most of the lyrics, and recorded it all to vintage tape for a warm and authentic 70s sound. www.waxpoetics.com/wax-poetics-artists/adrian-younge

American indie-dance band from Brooklyn, Rubblebucket, chosen by SPIN Magazine as a "Must-hear artist from the 2009 CMJs," merges psychedelic indie rock, upbeat dance and left field arrangements. www.rubblebucket.com

At the age of 15, Jessica Lea Mayfield, an American singer-songwriter from Kent, Ohio, recorded her first EP, White Lies, in her brothers' bedroom, printing only 100 copies. One of those copies fell into the hands of Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, resulting in Mayfield and Auerbach hitting the studio, laying the foundation of her debut album, With Blasphemy So Heartfelt. www.highroadtouring.com/artists/jessicaleamayfield

Born of the simple yet adventurous belief that modern dance can be performed completely live, Brooklyn's Tortured Soul packs dance floors with their unique live performances, while their recorded oeuvre pushes the genre boundaries of soul, dance and pop. www.torturedsoulmusic.com

Formed in late 2006, Nervous Turkey uses punk to rough up the blues and finishes it off with Tom Waits gruff, to make it a touch disturbing. www.facebook.com/nervousturkey

Sounduo is a post-dub, audio/visual, live performance project. Their sound features poly-rhythmic hip hop groves, vintage samples, soulful vocals, ambient soundscapes, live instuments and heavy synth bass passed through a scuzzed-out dub filter and mangled using the latest in glitch technology. Sounduo's performances have an emphasis on live remix's and dub versions of their studio tracks, live drums, plenty of improvisation and synced lighting and visuals. www.facebook.com/sounduo
