The Devil Wears Prada at The RITZ Ybor on December 2, 2011

Dates Are In Support of the Band’s New Album, Dead Throne, Out September 13

LOS ANGELES, CA – Fresh off the 2011 Warped Tour and armed with what the UK’s Metal Hammer called the band’s “most ferocious release to date,” rising metalcore darlings The Devil Wears Prada announces “Dead Throne Tour: North America 2011” the first North American leg of the band’s 2011 – 2012 worldwide tour. The 37-date headline trek kicks off on November 3 in Milwaukee and will criss-cross the U.S. and Canada over a six-week period. “Dead Throne Tour: North America 2011” will feature Whitechapel, Enter Shikari, and For Today on all dates. Tickets go on sale Friday morning, September 2 at 10am at Log onto for ticket purchasing information.

The “Dead Throne Tour “ will come on the heels of the band’s October headline trek through Australia that kicks off October 20 in Perth, taking the band to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

These North American dates are in support of TDWP’s fourth album, the highly-anticipated Dead Throne (Ferret), produced by Killswitch Engage mad genius Adam Dutkiewicz, and set for a September 13 release. With Dead Throne, the band – front man Mike Hranica, guitarist and clean vocalist Jeremy DePoyster, guitarist Chris Rubey, bassist Andy Trick, keyboardist James Baney and drummer Daniel Williams – has turned a corner by turning up the aggression and turning on the emotions. The new album erupts with what TDWP has merely hinted at in the past – it is a brilliant, emotional, captivating and brutal journey that tackles issues of failed relationships and the perseverance of faith.

“We aim to give listeners and fans something they can enjoy, but we’ll also always make songs we personally stand behind,” said Hranica. “We’d write differently if we were purely trying to sell albums, that’s just not how it works for us. No compromises.”

The upward trajectory of TDWP escalated with the success of 2009’s With Roots Above and Branches Below, which debuted at #11 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, and set off a series of events that lead to a huge break-out year. TDWP was voted Band of the Year by the readers of Alternative Press, went on to appear on the covers of AltPress, Revolver, Outburn, HM, and AMP, and sold out dates around the world. In 2010, they received a Golden God Award nomination, and released their first-ever EP, the conceptual Zombie EP, that gave them their highest-ever chart debut, coming in at #10 on Billboard’s Top 200, and rave reviews.

Panic! At The Disco at The RITZ Ybor on October 23, 2011

Fun fact: Panic! At The Disco played one of the last sets at the old Masquerade in Ybor City. It happened on February 19, 2006, alongside Hellogoodbye, The Academy Is... and others. Less than two weeks later, the club was closed for good.

That is, until late 2008, when the venue at 1503 7th Avenue reopened as The RITZ Ybor, a shiny new concert hall that has hosted shows by everyone from Lady Gaga to Ben Folds to The Smashing Pumpkins.

Just as The RITZ Ybor is a lot different from the old Masquerade, Panic! At The Disco in 2011 is a lot different from Panic! At The Disco in 2006. They've lost half of their original members, for one thing.

But Panic! At The Disco isn't giving up. You may have spotted Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith at this year's 97X Backyard Barbecue in St. Pete. And they're returning to Tampa, with a gig on October 23 at -- you guessed it -- The RITZ Ybor. (See how it all comes full circle?)

According to promoters, tickets will go onsale Friday, August 12, 2011 online at

Congratulations to On Carlton Row, winners of Semi-Finals Week 4 of ULTIMATE 2011: The RITZ Ybor's Quest for the ULTIMATE Opening Act.

On Carlton Row will advance to the August 19 Finals where they join Week 1 winners The Reverie, Week 2 winners The Ken Apperson Band, Week 3 winners The James-Lange Theory and Next of Kin and newly announced Judges Pick, Khora. All six bands will be performing the cover song performed the week they won, 2 original songs and 1 cover song by Michael Jackson.
